| The V21 reed utilizes the conical shape of the 56 rue Lepic combined with the profile of the V.12 and is designed for players looking for warmth and depth of sound while still achieving immediate response. | V12 reeds are manufactured from cane tubes with the same diameter as cane used for alto saxophone reeds. As a result, they have a thicker heel and are cut with a longer vamp with a slightly thicker tip than the Traditional. The longer vamp means that more of the reed is vibrating, resulting in a deeper, richer sound. The thicker tip gives body to the attack. | The Buffet Muncy barrel has been more than 10 years in the making. Designed by Philip Muncy for Buffet Crampon in France, this barrel is hand finished and play tested by Philip Muncy. Each barrel is made from the most select unstained grenadilla woods. Every barrel features silver plated rings. This reversed taper bore was inspired by the late Hans Moennig and Anthony Gigliotti. Producing a beautiful ringing tone that is responsive and keeps its shape in every dynamic range. This barrel voices astonishingly well and is sure to please those that have enjoyed the best of the Moennig style barrels. Available in lengths 64-67mm for both A and Bb clarinets.
