A thick blank, filed reed that offers great projection, featuring a medium tip thickness for warmth and core of sound, a traditional tip radius for ease of response and articulation, and a longer vamp for increased tonal flexibility. | V12 reeds are manufactured from cane tubes with the same diameter as cane used for alto saxophone reeds. As a result, they have a thicker heel and are cut with a longer vamp with a slightly thicker tip than the Traditional.
