Bari Star Bass Clarinet Plastic Reed

Designed for those clarinetists looking for a reed with a dark sound. These reeds have more wood in the heart. They are more scraped in the shoulders, thus producing a deep low register. These reeds are made on computer run equipment (CNC). 5 Reeds per box.

Traditional radius, longer vamp.

A thick blank, filed reed that offers great projection, featuring a medium tip thickness for warmth and core of sound, a traditional tip radius for ease of response and articulation, and a longer vamp for increased tonal flexibility.

Clear plastic reed that is stable, consistent, and long lasting in any weather. Available in strengths Soft, Medium and Hard. One reed per package.

V12 reeds are manufactured from cane tubes with the same diameter as cane used for alto saxophone reeds. As a result, they have a thicker heel and are cut with a longer vamp with a slightly thicker tip than the Traditional. The longer vamp means that more of the reed is vibrating, resulting in a deeper, richer sound.

The thicker tip gives body to the attack.
