Hemke reeds provide the dark tone favored by many classical and traditional jazz saxophonists. The design is especially well-suited to traditional, round-chambered mouthpieces. French filed for freedom of response, especially in the low register, adding clarity to the tone and making soft attacks easier. | Small, durable, and economical case with NO Outside Pocket makes this case easy to carry anywhere. Wrist strap included. | Metal silver plated cap fits most standard metal ligatures including the Buffet silver plated ligature. | Highly selected reeds featuring a double cut to improve the lower register response. Designed by Philip Muncy for Buffet Crampon in France, this barrel is hand finished and play tested by Philip Muncy. Each barrel is made from the most select unstained grenadilla woods. Every barrel features silver plated rings. This reversed taper bore was inspired by the late Hans Moennig and Anthony Gigliotti. Producing a beautiful ringing tone that is responsive and keeps its shape in every dynamic range.
