This select wood has been aged by Muncy Winds for more than 12 years producing the most stable barrels on the market. Each barrel is handmade to release the unique sound that nature had intended for that particular piece of wood. These barrels are known for producing an incredible hold and evenness in sound.
Grenadilla=Most Ringing Tone
Rosewood=Darker Tone
Cocowood=Darkest Tone | The Buffet ICON clarinet barrel has a bore designed to give more focus, and core to the sound of the Buffet clarinet. Responsiveness, sound projection and definition of articulation are enhanced by the ICON clarinet barrel. The elegance of the body and the finely worked rings give this barrel a distinctive style.

This select wood has been seasoned since 1997 in our controlled facility. They are NOT machined on CNC machines. Instead each piece of wood is taken into consideration as they are handmade personally by Philip Muncy. Features Include: - Silver plated rings help produce a more compact sound and reduce chances of cracking.
- Improved tuning produced by a uniquely modified Moennig style bore.
- Dark sound that projects.
- Clear ppp and a fff that does not spread.
- Coco Wood produces a slightly darker more hollow sound.
