Alexander Alto Saxophone DC Reeds

These high quality reeds offered in three styles to best fit the players needs. 

The Classique offers a classically grounded performance that produces a warm, dynamically balanced, sonorously beautiful tone.

The Superial is in line with the tonal concept of the American style single cut reeds with a more developed heart and rear vamp area producing a reed tha will last a long time and will tend to generate a lot of spring and natural resistance needed for a really big sound.

The DC model has a slightly harder tip and more wood in the heart and sides than Superial and therefore produces a more solid tonal core, enhanced projection and power, and a little darker harmonic palette.

These reeds are made in Argentina from cane grown in Argentina. Superb sound quality. 10 Reeds per box.

Working with the legendary Jazz saxophone genius, Michael Brecker, the result is a new reed made with our same high grade S. France cane - a model which would add a new and different dimension to the tonal universe of our reeds.

The Alexander NY model features a redesigned tip and profile which produces a big and bold sound, full response throughout the registers and the type of vibrant, solid tone traditionally associated with that of the New York music scene.

This special formula Synthetic is used by school bands and pros alike. Available in half and quarter strengths for more accurate matching to your mouthpiece. One reed per package. Legere Sax reeds come in two cuts. Original cuts are designed for a darker sound and generally used for a classical set-up.

The unreal reed plays like cane, sounds like cane, better projection, and lasts up to 4 times longer than cane reeds. Greater high note stability than most plastic reeds. Available in Soft, Medium Soft, Medium, Medium Hard, and Hard strengths. One reed per package.
